Local Yorkshire Queen
Our locally-adapted queens are bred here at our apiary in Staincross, Barnsley. They head productive and hardy colonies. We breed a few surplus queens which we sell to cover our queen production costs.
Available from around June, these queens are particularly good for making up nucs to over winter, creating more options for next season.
In really good seasons, queens can be available earlier in the year.
Price is for a collected queen.
5 Frame Nuc (BS)
Our five frame nucleus colonies contain locally-adapted bees headed by one of our queens, brood of all stages as well as pollen and stores. All our nucs are on British Standard frames (drop off your nuc box).
